One of the biggest award ceremonies of Hollywood was held on Monday at Beverly Hills, California. Hosted by the talented duo of Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, the big night saw the who’s who of the industry attending the event.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” won best drama, and its star, Rami Malek, won best actor at the Golden Globes on Sunday night; “Green Book” took home three awards, including best movie, musical or comedy; and Glenn Close won best actress in a drama, an award many expected to go to Lady Gaga.
Alfonso Cuarón won best director for “Roma,” his subtitled black-and-white homage to life in Mexico City in the 1970s. “Roma” also won the foreign film prize.
Hollywood hit the red carpet on the night of 7 January for the annual awards, with hit musical romance A Star Is Born the favourite to win big, but only managing the Best Original Song for the breakout hit 'Shallow', by Lady Gaga.
